Vickie Curtis Gunter

Vickie Curtis Gunter, age 65, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in her husband's loving arms. Vickie was born on January 2, 1960, in Caldwell County to the late Eugene and Barbara Curtis.

In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Curtis.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years and love of her life Gary Gunter, her daughter Heather King (husband Thad), granddaughter Cydney King, many cousins, and several loving friends and family.

Vickie was Gary's best friend, his confidant, his right hand, and his life. She supported everything Gary did with his mission work to help others. She was trustworthy, honest, faithful, and loved the Lord. She was known as "Nanny Vickie" to many children and as the candy lady at church. She was a Baptist and avid church goer.

A receiving of friends for Vickie will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.

Following the receiving of friends will be a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, 522 Wilkesboro Blvd SE, Lenoir, North Carolina with Pastor David Brown officiating.
