Verna Verlee Miller

She was born on January 4, 1928 to the late Thomas Isaac Watson and Rebecca Loretta Watson in Watauga County.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Miller; daughter, Carolyn Pritchard; grandchildren, Cindy Bumgarner, Little Terry Pritchard, Max Suddreth, and Joey Burchette; great-grandchild, Little Tim Bumgarner; and three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Miller and wife Vanessa of Lenoir; daughters, Linda Bradshaw and husband Lee of Hudson, Kathy Pritchard and husband Terry of Lenoir, and Tammy Turner and husband Paul “Buzz” of Lenoir; special great grandchildren, Kaydenc and Makenna Turner; special niece, Irene Watson and special nephew, Clinton Triplett, both of Triplett; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 46 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February, 28. 2021 at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Craven officiating. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
