Vanetta Collins Crisp

Vanetta Collins Crisp, age 88, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Vanetta was born June 12, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Louis and Beatrice Townsend Collins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lee Crisp, and a daughter, Linda Sue Crisp and a brother Louis Adam "Tommy" Collins.

Vanetta was a simple and caring woman, she loved and helped raise many children who were not her own. She loved to sew and garden. But, most of all, she was dedicated to her family and caring for them.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Doyle Crisp of the home, grandchildren, Susan Burwell and husband Scott of Conway, SC, Nicole Crisp of Lenoir, Jason Cassidy of Lenoir, great grandchildren, Jeremy Scott Burwell Jr, of Charleston, SC, Cody Michael Burwell of Greenville, SC. Alexandria Morgan Burwell of Conway, SC and Elizabeth Brooke Burwell of Myrtle Beach SC.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Crisp Family Cemetery in Lenoir.
