Sue Norris Story

Sue Norris Bush Story, age 92, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Hickory Falls in Granite Falls. Sue was born April 5, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Belk Reid Bush and Lossie Norris Bush.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Van Story, two brothers, an infant, Justin Bush, Robert Bush, five sisters, Hazel Bush Poarch, Nellie Bush Bumgarner, Wilma Bush Bryant, Betty Bush Greene and Fern Bush Query.

Sue was a member of Colliers United Methodist Church and worked at the Shaire Center in Lenoir for 18 years. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Sue will be remembered as being a caring, generous person, always putting others first. Most of all,she enjoyed spending time with her family. Sue was well liked by all who knew her and she will be missed greatly. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed reading, music and flowers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jerry Story along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who loved her.

A graveside service to honor Mrs. Story will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:30 am at Colliers United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ann Gibert officiating.
