Shirley Ricci

Mrs. Ricci was born July 22, 1928 in Caldwell County to the late Marshall Leigh Kincaid and Margaret Eva Cardwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her previous husband of 39 years, Walter McKinley Davis, Jr. (Junie); brothers, Bud, Earl, Claude, and Ray Kincaid; and sisters, Ethel Jewel Kincaid and Ruth Kincaid Mitchem.

She was a loving wife, Mother and Nanny.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony “Rick” Ricci, daughters, Vicki Davis Safford and husband Allen of Lenoir, Donna Davis Wilson and husband John of Granite Falls, and Marsha Davis Pendry and husband Bill of Lenoir; sons, Walter McKinley Davis, III (Kenny) and wife Lane of Lenoir, William Templeton Davis (Bill) and wife Kathy of Granite Falls, and stepson, Eric C. Ricci of Baton; sisters, Mrs. Joyce Kincaid Woods and husband Mike of Clinton, MS; four grandsons, Todd Philyaw of Burlington, Jason Philyaw of Lenoir, Zac Philyaw of Lenoir, Brooks Wilson of Granite Falls, three granddaughters, Heather Justice of Hudson, Emily Davis of Maryland, Katie Davis of Lenoir, three stepgrandsons, Eric Philyaw of Lenoir, Travis Hamby of Granite Falls, and Christopher Ricci of Greenville, SC; and three step granddaughters, Paula Pendry Hodges of Hiddenite, April Hamby Coffey of Lenoir, and Brook Ricci of Granite Falls; five great grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren and one grand-dog “Hulk”.

A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 15, 2010 with Pastor Tim Brittain officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, July 14, 2010 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
