Roger Dale Spears

Roger Dale Spears, age 74, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. Roger was born June 16, 1950 In Caldwell County to the late RJ Spears and Ina Mae Phillips Spears.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Bolick who passed away only hours before Roger passed, a sister, Rita Gragg and her husband Johnny, a brother Edward Spears, a great grandson, Dean Gregory Holzmann.

Roger was a hardworking and determined man, he enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Big Ivy, NC , working in his fields and tending to his animals. He was a member of Whitnel first Baptist Church and was active in many areas there. Roger loved his family and had a big heart, and was full of love.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Cathy Parlier and husband Harold of Lenoir, brothers, Garry Spears and wife Carol of Lenoir, David Spears and wife Teresa of Lenoir and Keith Spears and wife Debra of Lenoir, a stepson, Gregory Bolick Jr, of Lenoir, grandchildren, Gregory Bolick III, and Reva Ashley Bolick and a host of nieces and nephews.

A receiving of friends for Roger will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Whitnel First Baptist Church, Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, North Carolina, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Roger will be laid to rest in Kincaid Family Cemetery, Lenoir, North Carolina.
