Robert “Bobby” Lee Woodring Sr., age 74 of Lenoir, went Home to be with The Lord on Monday, November 28, 2022 after a period of declining health. Born Friday, February 6, 1948 to the late Wilma Conley Woodring and Roy Lee Woodring in Caldwell County NC.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his sister, Donna Woodring Price.
Mr. Woodring is survived by his wife of 56 years Rebecca Crisp Woodring, son Robert Lee Woodring Jr. (Wife Wanda), and daughter Lorie Toliver (Husband Marty). Grandchildren are Travis Toliver (Nikita), Kelsey Watts (Andy), Jordan Esser (Chris), and Cassidy Whitesell. Great Grandson Lincoln Watts and Alaena Esser on the way. Bobby also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews.
Robert will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was very faithful to his church and family. Robert served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. There was nothing that he could not do. He enjoyed woodworking and was a fabricator and welder for over 30 years; a man of many traits.
The Woodring family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Green Mountain Independent Baptist Church, 2077 Piney Grove Circle, Lenoir NC.
The Funeral Service for Robert will be held at Green Mountain Independent Baptist Church, on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Lane Hamby officiating.
Burial will follow at the Crisp Family Cemetery, where Military rites will be provided by DAV Chapter 6 and 84, in Buffalo Cove NC.
