Robert William Compton, 87, of Caldwell County passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative care of Hudson.
He was born to the late James Compton and Violet Davis Compton in Catawba County.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by nine siblings.
Robert was a member of Mountain grove Baptist Church. In his spare time he loved doing carpentry, breeding and showing horses. He was a loving husband and will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Alice Anne Compton, brother; Billy Joe Compton and wife Christa, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative care at 526 Pine Mountain Road, Hudson, NC.
