Dawn I am really sorry to hear about Ray and Im sorry to just see this. Ray was a very sweet man I loved having u both riding with me on the van. He will be truly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Jake's passing. May his family find comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord. My prayers and love go out to all of his family.

I will forever associate Jake with RA's at North Catawba Baptist Church. I know there are so many other guys who feel the same way. I remember our meetings, the softball games, the RA track meets, camping, etc, and he would be smiling through it all.  That was his way of demonstrating his love for the Lord and to be able to show that to us as well, even if we must have driven him crazy at times!  We know he's in a better place, and the family is in our thoughts & prayers. 

Jake was a kind, caring, loving guy.  Our association began when I was a 5th grader at North Catawba Baptist Church.  Through RA's, youth and church programs Jake made his mark on my life.  As the obituary said, he was a friend to everyone and he had a heart of gold.  Most importantly, Jake was a fine Christian man.  He loved his Lord, and it showed in his life.  A short memory about Jake, which many of my friends  will remember.   I'll never forget Jake always wanting to take groups of us out to eat after church on Sunday night to "Perry's Fish Camp."  What times of fun and fellowship!  We all believed it was because he loved and cherished each of us.  But most of you know the rest of the story....Jake didn't have a driver's  license so he just needed a way to supper!  No way!         We all loved each other and we are all richer for having known "Jake" McCall and having him as a part of our young lives; and, it continued well into our adult years.  The best thing is, we'll see him again one day! With all my love to the family, Tommy Welch

I'm so sorry to hear about Jake. He was such a good man. I have many fond memories of him at North Catawba Baptist Church. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. May God bless and comfort you all now and in the days ahead. 

Uncle Jake was a kind man and he always spoke of the Lord I can rember him when he would preach from his cb and I rember he was up and ready for church on Sundays   and if you needed prayer you could call or ask him and if he didn't pray right there he'd always  say prayers for you . I no he is with Jesus and I no that my granny must be dancing all over heaven she loved her "Jake"  paw McCall did too but he was Granny's boy   rest in peace  Jake 

I hated to hear that he passed away,  He was an excellent former scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts, troop 263, Baton. He cared so much about his scout troop and people.  We learned so much about life, God and community. My deepest condolences and sympathy to all who knew him. We've lost a good one. 

 I am one 9f "Jake's" nieces and  I'd just like to say he was a very kind uncle   and he for certian loved his Jesus   and his family  I'm sure my granny McCall 2as standing with her precious sweet open arms welcoming her son home     I pray for dawn as she lays her husband of many yrs to rest. And I pray that as she transitions into new housing that she will be in a good place  and  be taken care of he would of  wanted dawn to be placed where she'd be ok and taken good care of .  I pray my mama n aunts and uncle Steve.   Find peace in knowing  there brothers with Jesus now and  not suffering  I love 3ach and every one of you and may God be with and bless the family of Jake as they lay him to rest. Uncle Jake was always a loving caring Man.He would help anyone, He Loved the Lord and he witnessed to many including me.. A few weeks ago I took mom to see him and he told me Bonnie I've said many prayers for you!! And I know he has...He's rejoicing with the Lord and his wonderful Parents,He will be missed until we meet again..I Love you 

Ray Eugene McCall  was a long time friend and brother in Christ.  We rode to and from work at Hammary Furniture for many years.  We've shared  a lot of calls and  prayers over the years. Jake will definitely be missed. Blessings for Dawn and all of the family.

Ray also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
