Paul Ernest Burch

Paul Ernest Burch, age 73, of Morganton, North Carolina passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Carolina Rehab of Burke. Mr. Burch was born May 4, 1950 in Catawba County to the late Richard Burch and Jessie Crouse Burch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Ellis Burch , Tony Ray Burch, and a grandson, Rayden Biddix.

Paul was a member of Hartland Baptist Church in Morganton where he served as a deacon and served in many other areas during his membership. He worked for Omni Supply in Patterson. Paul played on the church softball team and was a UNC Tarheel fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Diana Helton Burch, of the home, a son, Rodney Burch and wife Sally of Morganton, a grandson, Bobby Biddix Jr. of West Virginia, a brother, John Burch of Granite Falls, sisters, Nancy Tomlinson and husband Allen of Hudson, Donna Burch and partner Richard Barlowe of Granite Falls, Cathy Cline of Granite Falls and Sheila Reeves and husband Gary of Hickory. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Burch on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Todd Smith and Rev. Dr. Steve Parker officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles McNeil Jr., Nicholas McNeil, Jason Middleton, Jeff Moffitt, Brathel Poarch and Todd Winkler.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Hartland Baptist Church.
