Mr. McLean was born in Topton, NC to the late Kellsie A. McLean and Angie Nichols McLean. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Freda McLean Woodruff; a brother, Emmett Eller and a sister, Arlene Smith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, retired from Flowers Auto Parts and a member of Zack’s Fork Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking for the church.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Lena McAlister McLean of the home; two sisters, Addie McLean Lusk of Cape Coral, FL, and Mona McLean Wines of Bentonville, VA; and one grandson, Zachary Woodruff.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Chad Baldwin officiating.
