He was born February 6th, 1960 to the late Dennis and Annie Hensley. He was a member of West Lenoir Baptist Church.
Mike is survived by his sisters Watha Kendrick (husband, Sherrill) of Granite Falls, Barbara Barlowe of Lenoir, Saundra Welch (husband David) of Brandon, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Floyd Hensley, his sister-in-law Phyllis Hensley, his brother-in-law Lloyd Barlowe, and his great-nephew Jesse White.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27th at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
Burial will be held Thursday, December 28th at 12:00 PM at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Military honors will be provided by the US Air Force and the AmVets NC Post 76.
