Ms. Blackwelder was born in Caldwell County, NC on January 11, 1936 to the late Dr. Vern H. Blackwelder and Lillie Broyhill Blackwelder.
A graveside service for Ms. Blackwelder was held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Belleview Cemetery in Lenoir, NC.
