She was born November 17, 1916 in Caldwell County to the late Frances Avery Bradford and Jenny Simmons Bradford. Mrs. Robbins enjoyed gardening and loved cats and dogs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hudson. She developed a love of basketball during her teenage years, playing high school half-court basketball. If there ever was a #1 UNC Tarheels fan, it was Mrs. Robbins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lake Robbins; son, Michael Robbins; sisters, Sara Jean Williams, Frances Culbreth, and Irene Bobbitt; brother, William “Bub” Edward Bradford; and brother-in-law, Jack Robbins.
Mrs. Robbins is survived by a son, Doug Robbins of Surfside Beach; daughter-in-law, Sandy Laws and husband Bob of Hickory; grandchildren, Elliot Robbins and wife Amanda, Jordan Robbins, Randy Robbins, Eddie Robbins, and Chris Robbins; great-grandchildren, Baylor, Griffin, Julia, April, Gabriel, and Timothy; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Sigmon and Katherine Jackson; two nephews, James Simmons Bobbitt and David Williams; and niece, Judy Spicer.
The family will hold a private graveside service for Mrs. Robbins
