In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Cecil Lee Greer, her son-in-law Dean Kirby, her five sisters, and one brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Brenda Marie Kirby, Reba Sue Miller (husband Mike), and Jerry Lee Greer (wife Jill), her grandchildren Nancy Norris (husband Mike), Eddie Hardwick (wife Angie), Dana Shatley, Vickie Pittman (husband Danny), Wendy Chapman (husband Scott), Angela Gaines (husband Tim), Jonathan Greer (wife Bethany), Justin Greer (wife Janna), and Emily Laatsch (husband Charlie), her brother Sam Ritch, Jr., and her numerous great-grandchildren.
Until she was 73, Maggie worked. Her most beloved and last job was at Yokefellow, where she loved handing out food to people in need. She enjoyed meeting people in the community and talking with them. She's been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for decades.
A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 12:00 PM, with Jonathan Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Laatsch, Les Fox, Jason Griffies, Matt Griffies, Tim Gaines, and David McCall.
