Louis Gordon Coffey

Mr. Coffey was born on January 4, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Jennings Otis and Ollie Roberts Coffey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Coffey.

He had a passion for music and played the drums. Mr. Coffey attended Indian Hills Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are, two daughters, Tracy Edwards and husband, Chris and Amy Lynn Coffey, both of Lenoir, NC; one sister, Cathy Coffey Messer and husband Terry Lynn Messer, of Lenoir, NC; four grandchildren and his special friend, Linda Coffey.

Funeral services are planned for Mr. Coffey for Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel with Pastor Tony Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, NC.

Friends and relatives will serve as pallbearers for Mr. Coffey, with “Little Johnny” Duncan serving as Honorary pallbearer.

Daddy, we love you and you will forever live in our hearts. Play your drums in Glory.
