Lingle Burl Triplett

Mr. Triplett was born in Caldwell County to the late Larkin Triplett and Nellie Barnett Triplett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Lynn Hartley; brothers, Lee and Carl Triplett and sisters, Mae Triplett Barlowe and Rachel Triplett Bryant Estes. He was retired from the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melba Storie Triplett; his sons, Stanley S. Triplett and wife Joanne of Tobyhanna, PA and Sammy L. Hartley of Boone; a sister, Elizabeth Triplett Goble; four grandchildren, Desirae Triplett, Danielle Cardinale and husband Scott, Jennifer Huskey and husband David, and Christy Brown; three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Huskey, Brittany Huskey and Jonathan Hartley.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Eddie Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
