She was born to the late Earl Franklin Hood and Clara Jane Holman Hood on October 23, 1951 in Catawba County. Ms. Hood was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist church in Rutherford College.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Dean Hood.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister-in-law, Frankie Helton and husband Ronnie of Granite Falls; nephew, Dean Hood Jr. and wife Pangda Lo-Hood of Granite Falls; and a great-niece, Sakura Lo-Hood.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Freddy Lindsey and Rev. Leonard Lindsey officiating.
Memorials in Ms. Hood’s memory may be made to Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, 212 Malcolm Boulevard, Rutherford College, NC 28671.
