Juanita Lefevers Walsh, age 99, of Lenoir, North Carolina entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at AMOREM Hospice in Hudson. Juanita was born December 16, 1925 in Caldwell County to the late William McKinley and Myrtle Beane Lefevers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James V. Walsh, a daughter, Brenda Chambers, brothers, Charles and William Lefevers, sisters, Mary Day, Helen Correll and Joan Craig.
Juanita was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church, she loved her Lord and always talked about Him. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. He greatest joy was the time she got to spend with her family. Juanita retired from Century Furniture after over 20 years of faithful service.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nancy Smith and husband Gerald of Rutherford College, grandchildren, Connie Franklin and husband Doug of Lenoir, Julie Byrd and husband Andy of Hickory, Lee Chambers and wife Angie of Hickory, great-grandchildren, Andrew Franklin and girlfriend Haleigh of Rutherford College, Garrett Byrd of Granite Falls and Ansley Byrd of Hickory. Also surviving is her son-in-law, William Chambers of Hickory.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Walsh will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Craven and Rev. John Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir. Men of Union Grove Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:45 pm until 2:45 pm at Pendry's Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend its most sincere gratitude to the staff of AMOREM at the Hudson Patient Unit for their kindness and compassionate care.
The family respectfully request the memorial be made in honor of Juanita to AMOREM (formerly Caldwell Hospice) at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
