Mr. Freeman was born in Burke County to the late Joseph Hutto Freeman and Helen Minton Freeman. He was the Owner of J & H Distributing. Dale was an avid Harley rider and was known to his many friends in the trucking community as “Dead Eye”.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Teresa Freeman of the home; his sons, Joseph Adam Freeman and wife Julie of Harrisburg, NC, and Justin Mikeal Freeman and wife Pamela of Hudson, NC; his granddaughters, Ally and Jocie Freeman of Harrisburg, NC; grandsons, Tyler and Austin Freeman of Hudson, NC; his sister, Lynette McClendon and husband Mickey of York, SC; brother, Dee Freeman and wife Emily of Raleigh, NC and a sister-in-law Paula Adams of Granite Falls, NC.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Dr. Warner Doles and Pastor Simeron Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
