Jerry "Whitey" McCall

Mr. Jerry “Whitey” McCall, 73 of Lenoir passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at his residence. Mr. McCall was born in Caldwell County to the late Ernest McCall and Lucy Beane McCall. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert McCall.

Mr. McCall was the retired owner of a furniture store and a member of Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church.

Mr. McCall is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Barbara Phillips McCall of the home, three sons; Jerry Dean McCall, David Todd McCall, Dwayne Ernest McCall all of Lenoir, three brothers; Fred McCall of Lenoir, Larry McCall, Randy McCall both of Granite Falls, two sisters; Patsy Miller of Hudson and Jenny Hartley of Granite Falls. He is also survived by three grandchildren

Funeral services for Mr. McCall will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Douglas Woodie and Reverend Sam Craven officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Rector, Robert Miller, Richard Miller, Scott Hall, Michael Hall and Tommy McCall. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Sheriff Alan Jones.

The McCall family would like to thank Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Chastity and Kelly for their wonderful care and support.
