Mrs. Moore was born in Burke County to the late John Rogers and Bertha Powell Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Kelly R. Bollinger, Jr. and second husband Clifton Hal Moore; her daughter, Janet Bollinger Houston; a son, Kelly R. Bollinger, III “Tracy”; and a great-granddaughter, McKenzie Bollinger.
She was retired from NC Department of Health and Human Resources, Broughton Hospital. She was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Caldwell County Republican Women’s Club, the Caldwell County Historical Society and the MOAA Ladies Auxiliary.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Mary Alice Beane of Lenoir; her sons Mike Bollinger (Carolyn) of Drexel and Douglas Bollinger of Lenoir; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
