Mr. James “JB” Burwell Andrews, of the Upton Community passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Burwell was born August 26, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late Dewey and Helen Tolbert Andrews.
Mr. Andrews loved animals, especially his cats and dogs. He was very close to his family, and had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the outdoors and growing flowers. He worked for Broyhill Furniture for over 40 years and received multiple perfect attendance awards during his time there.
Those left to cherish his memory include nephews, Malcolm Andrews of Florida, Josey Andrews of Ohio, Scott Triplett of Lenoir Todd Triplett and wife Sandy of Lenoir, Johnny Andrews of Lenoir, Ramona Burgess of Lenoir Leslie Icuss , Melinda Conforti, , Lisa Carte, Beverly Costello and Linda Salopek all of Ohio.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Lane Hamby officiating. Burial will follow the service at the McLean Family Cemetery in Upton.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
