Hazel Lea Cole

Hazel Lea Barfield Cole, age 71 of Hudson, passed away, on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Born on Friday August 24, 1951 to the late Benny and Margaret Berry Barfield in Catawba County, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her brothers Jimmy and Rex, and sisters Mary, Ann, and Lovena. Her sister, Linda Price, and husband Claude, is the last surviving sibling.

Ms. Cole is survived by her daughter Rhonda Johnson and sons Dwight Bowman, and Ambrose Scott Cole, and spouse Bobbie. Grandsons are Dusty, Shane, Jonas and Ambrose, and granddaughters are Brook, Ashley, Aaron, and Angel. Great-Grandchildren are Presley, Lily, Nevaeh, Leigh, Andrew and Thomas (on the way).

Hazel will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and love of baking. She often made cakes for birthdays and special times. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and spending time with her family. She loved baseball, especially the Braves. She will be missed for all these reasons and more.

The Memorial Service for Hazel will be held at Pendry's Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm with the Pastor Allen Carr officiating.

Inurnment will be with the family.
