Harry Truman Powell

Mr. Harry (Chuck) Truman Powell, 73, of Lenoir entered into eternal life on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Amorem in Valdese. Mr. Powell was born October 7, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Robert Lee and Marjorie Dula Powell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.

Mr. Powell will be remembered as a comedian, he loved to make people laugh. He loved his family and the time he spent with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melody Moore of Morganton, sister, Delorise Ragins and husband Andre of Mooresville, brother, Robert Lee Powell Jr. of Lenoir, two grandchildren, Austin and Elijah Deloatch, both of Lenoir and four great grandchildren, McKinley, Belle, Owen and Alayah. Also left to cherish him memory are a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev. Kim Powell officiating.
