She was born on September 21, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Issac E. Miller and Dollie M. Miller.
Mrs. Faw was a member of the Sharon Walker Baptist Church. She loved arranging flowers and was a firm collector of angels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Franklin Faw; sons, Thomas Grant Faw and Lewis Franklin Faw Jr.; and brothers, Samuel Miller and James Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Darrell Faw and wife Paige of Lenoir; daughters, Lori Ann Faw of Lenoir and Dollie G. Backman; sisters, Martha Cannon of Baton and Sara Pleso of Tennessee.
Also left to cherish her memory are ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Faw will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Yadkin Baptist Church in Patterson with Rev. Stephen Austin officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Faw, Andrew Faw, Matthew Faw, Daniel Faw, Ben Byerly, and Randall Pilkenton.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 526 Pine Mountain Road, Hudson, NC 28638.
