

Mr. Bryant was employed by Singer Furniture for many years and he was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.
Born in Caldwell County, NC on February 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Russell Bryant and Minnie Sumpter Bryant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Joe, Rob and Ernest Bryant, sisters, Helen McLean, Faye Burris, Annie Setzer, Ada Boston and Loraine Hollor.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn Bolick Bryant, of the home and a son, Thomas M. Bryant and wife Debbie of Lenoir.
Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Ashley Bryant, Kristen Hudson, Taylor Bryant, Gracie Bryant, all of Lenoir, and great grandchildren, Peyton Hamby, Izabella Pearson and Levi Townsend.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Whitnel First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hedgecock and Rev. Gary Church officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Hunsucker, Charles Pearson, Shawn O’Neil, Justin Clyde Williams, Dillan Church and Kevin Suddreth. Honorary pallbearers will be H W Burris, Jeffery Bolick, Eddie Bolick, Brian Smith and Jimmy Boston.
Military Honors will be provided by the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his wife, Evelyn Bryant.
