Gabriel Frank Montelongo

Mr. Montelongo was born in Gilroy, California to the late Jose Maria Montelongo and Gertrude Flores Montelongo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Charlene Montelongo; a grandson, Gabriel McKinnley Montelongo; and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Montelongo was retired from the US Navy and proudly served from 1950 until 1970 and was also a member of the American Legion Post 29.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Montelongo; his children, Vicky Timmer and spouse Jim, Patti Boudreau and spouse Michael, Charles Whitley, Robert Whitley and spouse Joyce, Frank Montelongo and spouse Stacey, Joseph Montelongo and spouse Nicole, and Jerri Montelongo and partner Samantha; his sisters, Becky Lopez and Mary Gonzales; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 09, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Father Ken officiating. The family will receive one hour prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
