Frances Virginia Pennell

Mrs. Pennell was born in Caldwell County to the late Floyd Moore and Nina Moore. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Gene, John, Douglas and Kenneth Moore and a sister, Debbie Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Lindsay Pennell of the home; sons, Rickey Dale Pennell and wife Janet (Teeny) of Lenoir, Scott Alan Pennell of Madison, TN and Jack William Pennell and wife Joy of Hickory; a brother, Trev Moore of Hickory; sisters, Joyce Clifton, Linda Herald, Nelda Robbins, Delores (Dolly) Whisnant all of Lenoir and Theresa (TC) Moore of East Bend; three grandchildren, Justin and wife Hollie, Jayden and Jansen; one great grandchild, Branson.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church with Reverend Frank Hall and Reverend Hal Vannoy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Clifton, David Whisnant, Kevin Moore, David Huskins, Keith Smith and Danny Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church.

The Pennell family requests that memorials be made to Mr. Jack Lindsay Pennell at 2949 Blue Creek Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
