Mrs. Clark was born in Caldwell County to the late David “Dave” Chester and Dorothy Miller Chester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kara “Kade” Denver Clark; her sisters, Marie Franklin and Cora Lee Chester, and her brothers, William Perry Chester, Ray Chester and Paul Chester.
She was retired from Shuford Mills the Hudson cotton mill and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hudson.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Nolan Denver Clark, Sr. and wife Hilda Mae Clark of Lenoir; his daughter, Mildred “Millie” Minton of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Debbie Givens, Dennis Clark, Libby Campbell, Nolan Clark, Jr., Joey Clark and Jeanna Guill; seven great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren and one great, great, great grandchild; a special friend, Linda Hollar Johnson.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hudson with Reverend Wade Dellinger and Reverend Mack Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Colliers United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
