Deboris LaShawyn Waller, affectionately known as “Shawyn,” passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 40 in Caldwell County, NC. Born on January 13, 1984, in Danville, VA, to the late Loyd Wendell Lipscomb and Dalva Ferguson, Shawyn had a passion for cooking and worked in various roles within the food service industry. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and cherished gospel music and church.
Shawyn was also preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Neal and Carolyn Waller, his stepmother, Clarinda Lipscomb and a sister, Crystal Waller.
He is survived by his sisters, Tamar C. Lipscomb, Melina L. Pickard, Tameka Waller, Melissa Blair, his brothers, Angelo Waller,Lloyd Waller and Keenan Waller; his stepfather, James Ferguson; his nephews, Christian Singleton, Jordan Pickard, Derek B. Singleton, and Trey Pickard; his niece, Autumn Pickard; his great-nephew, Rylon Singleton; and a host of family and friends.
