She was born February 5, 1964 in Caldwell County to Edwin Eugene Stafford and the late Bernita Greer Stafford. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ira and Nell Greer and paternal grandparents, Euell and Mary Stafford.
Mrs. Sparks was the owner of Deanna’s Deli-N-Cream of down town Lenoir and a member of Worship Point Baptist Church. She was a graduate of West Caldwell High School and was a CNA and Nursing Assistant.
She is survived by husband of 34 years, Jerry Sparks, son; Ethan Sparks and wife Pashence, daughter; Tiffany Norman and husband Ben, grandchildren; Silas Norman, Bennett Norman and Weston Norman, brother Eric Stafford and wife Cathy and sister Sara Stafford Wright and husband William.
A funeral service will be held at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m with Pastor Jeff Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Adam Sweet, Chris Sweet, Robert “Debo” Sparks, Chad Sparks, Stephen Sparks and Matthew Sparks.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jonathon Sweet and Jacob Sparks.
