Mr. Clifford Fred Wilcox, age 97, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wilcox was born January 26, 1925 in Watauga County to the late Vance and Dora Parsons Wilcox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Mr. Wilcox was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker, and spent more than sixty years working in the machine room for Bernhardt Furniture. He was of the Baptist faith and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Carolyn Greene Wilcox of the home, a daughter, Judy Woods of Lenoir, step-sons, Scott, Duane and Michael Turnmire, all of Lenoir, brothers, Billy Wilcox of Lenoir, Hoover Wilcox of Granite Falls, Lee Wilcox of Hudson and a sister, Linda Hendrix of Lenoir.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held to honor Mr. Wilcox on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Philyaw officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pendry's
Lenoir Funeral Home.
