Clarence Hill Beaver

Clarence Hill Beaver, 90, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Burke County Hospice and Palliative Care.

Mr. Beaver was born in 1924 to the late Walter D. Beaver and the late Lonnie Jolly. Mr. Beaver was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Bernhardt Plant # 3 where he was employed for over 30 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Beaver was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Dorothy Bradshaw and 3 brothers; Avery Beaver, Charles Beaver, and Ralph Beaver.

Those left to cherish Mr. Beaver’s memory include two sons, Bobby C. Beaver of Lenoir, NC and Butch Beaver (Connie) of Morganton, NC; two daughters, Reba Beaver Smith (Dennis) of Hudson and Kay Beaver Watkins (John Toby) of Morganton; and three sisters Nell McLean of Lenoir, Leona Osborne of Boomer, NC and Ann Osborne of Lenoir. In addition, Mr. Beaver is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Beaver will be in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Edd Warren officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM.

Serving as pall-bearers will be Gregory Smith, Matthew Watkins, Anthony Smith, Chris Smith, Bobby Beaver, and Roger Smith.
