Charlotte Greene Simmons

Mrs. Simmons was born in Caldwell County to the late Roy Wilburn Greene and Sarah Jane Bryant Greene. She was retired from the furniture industry and a member of New Grace Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse Tommy Simmons; four brothers, Clarence, Jack, Roy, Willard and Glen E. Greene and one sister, Nell Greer.

Survivors include three sisters, Violet G. Adkins of Lenoir, Shirley G. Lenoir of Lenoir and Marie G. Houck of Gamewell.

A funeral service will be held at Pendry’s Chapel Monday, October 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend W. Brady Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Yadkin Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials be made to New Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 3685 Jack Greene Est. Place, Lenoir, NC 28645.
