I grew up with Carla.   She was a great friend and we had many fun times together.  Loved her whole family right down to the dog named Kitty.  One memory was a trip with her and her brother Lee to Maryland on her trusty mustang.  As we got close to DC we hit black ice as did many others and after a few spins landed into the guard rail.  Lucky no one hurt but short on cash Carla used her charming way to convince the wrecker to release us from the rail.  He of course did with a smile and we were on our way.  I am so sad to hear this news.  Carla was always kind and giving.  I will always have many great memories because of her.  RIP my friend.    

My older sister has passed. We lived together for nearly 15 years. To say I’ve lost a family member,  just does not say enough. She was a dedicated  registered nurse and truly loved taking care of others. She left this world as a hero, mind also. Her smile touched many hearts. Carla will be loved and remembered forever . She left her mark on this world. May she Rest In Peace.

I remember Carla from when I worked with her at lenoir health care.  She was a awesome worker and she loved what she her job.  She always was talking about her family about how much she loved them.  In she was always showing them off.

I just received the news that heaven gained a precious angel.  Every night that you came into work, you always gave me chocolate candy bars with a smile on your face. You were an awesome RN, a mother, a friend to many. You will be greatly missed.  I love you my friend, rest in peace ❤ 🙏 Wendy Koontz

I am so sorry to hear of Carla's passing. I was blessed to be her hairstylist for the past several years. We always had laughter and fun during her appointments. 
God had gained an angel.

Carla was a magnificent friend, I met her with conversation about rocks and gems, she knew every stone of jewelry I wore. She was so calming and gentle natured. When she knew my grandchildren loved stones, she gave all of them bags of stones and she knew every piece in detail. It will be of great loss that I shall never see her beautiful smile and energy. To her family....I am heartbroken for you, I lover her so.
