Carla Jean Stewart

Carla Jean Stewart, age 59, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Carla was born May 19, 1964 in Caldwell County to the late Elizabeth Jean Russell Bristol.

Carla was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for doing things for other people more than herself. Carla had a love for fishing and she also loved animals, especially her many dogs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Eddie Stewart of the home, her father, Paul Edgar Dishman of Hudson, her children, Richard Melton of Hudson, Jessica Sumlin of Florida, Kendra Sumlin of Hudson, her sisters, Teresa Hart of Granite Falls, Lorie Blair of Hudson, Beth Triplett of Lenoir and Paula Hopper of Granite Falls.

Also left to cherish her memory are her precious grandchildren, Haley Melton, Jaelyn Shay Pope and Sailor Jean Pope.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Calvary Advent Christian Church at 6:00 pm with Rev. Brandon Thomas officiating.
