Betty was born in Caldwell County to Att and Edna Holman. She was a devoted member of Lenoir First Wesleyan Church. Betty served the Lord until her last breath.
She loved and cared for everyone with a smile on her face. She never met a stranger. She was a talented sewer and will be remembered for her homemade apple pies.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Patrick (husband Rick), her three sons Gary Moretz, Johnny Moretz (wife Cynthia), and Danny Moretz (wife Mary), her step-son Tony Michael, her 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren,
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Paul Everette Michael, her parents Att and Edna Holman, her many sisters and brothers, her daughter-in-law Glenda Moretz, and her granddaughter Jamie Smith.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 4th at Lenoir First Wesleyan Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Moretz, Jr., Jesse Moretz, Jason Moretz, Justin Patrick, Jordan Greene, Logan Greene, and Riley Price.
