Barbara Ann Davis

Barbara was born to the late Spencer Barnette and Treva Greer Barnette of Lenoir. Barbara worked in the hosiery mills and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She loved eating ice cream and to shop. She also loved all the little babies in the family. Barbara enjoyed watching Golden Girls on television as well.

Including her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Ferguson and a nephew, Gary Ferguson.

She is survived by the father of her children, James Davis Sr., sons, James Davis Jr. of Lenoir, Victor Davis (Brandi) of Lenoir, Crystal Hamby (Randy) of Lenoir, brother, Larry Barnette of Taylorsville, sisters, Janice McDonald (Terry) of Hudson, Deborah Annas (Gary) of Lenoir, grandchildren, James Davis III, Kristopher Hamby, Alexis Hamby, Hannah Grace, Landon James, Tyler Davis, Lindsey Davis, Abby Davis, great grandchildren, Jaxson Davis, Parker Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services for Mrs. Davis will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor John Gray and Pastor Jeff Hoyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
