Mrs. Triplett was born April 3, 1937 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Thomas and Maude Reid Eller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Bob Triplett, sister; Ginger Benfield and husband Clarence, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Ed and Margie Triplett and father-in-law and mother-in-law; Hamp and Delia Triplett.
Ann was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was a dedicated member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, choir member, acteens leader, and food committee. Ann was very proud to have had perfect attendance in Sunday School for 20 years. She was valedictorian of the class of 1955 at Granite Falls High School, a graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education and taught in the Caldwell County Schools for thirty years. Ann loved reading and did so every chance she had. She will be remembered by many for her kindness, generosity and her passion for teaching and shaping young minds.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son; Robert Triplett, daughter; Anita Triplett, both of Lenoir half-brother; Roland Eller of Lexington , honorary grandchildren; Mara Dula and Caroline Dula, both of Lenoir and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service to honor Mrs. Triplett will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenoir with Rev. Jerry Reeves, Rev. Brian Dula and Rev. Brent Dula Officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home in a drive thru visitation. The family will be present on the portico to great visitors from their cars as they drive by. This is to ensure safe social distancing for the family and for our visitors. The register book will be available to sign as you drive thru to pay your respects to the family.
