Alma Williams Triplett

Mrs. Triplett was born in Caldwell County to the late William Riley Crump and Minnie Bertha Crump Bowen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Marshall and Ralph Crump; sisters, Mamie Austin, Betty Ann Price and Wilma Jane Hollander; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was retired from Lenoir Pad and Paper and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas Lee Williams and wife Joan of Lenoir, and Danny Wilson Williams and wife Trina of Lenoir; her daughters, Peggy Diane Herald of Lenoir, Wilma Carolyn Williams of Lenoir, and Teresa Chapman and husband Larry of Granite Falls; a sister, Kathleen Clontz of Lenoir. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Triplett will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Horace Minton and Reverend Mike Minton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, August 26, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Williams, James Williams, Jason Hollander, Allen Holsclaw, Lloyd Greene and Jimmie Scott.
