Alma Smith

Mrs. Alma Haigler Smith, 99, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Hickory Falls in Granite Falls. Mrs. Smith was born October 1, 1922 in Caldwell County to the late George and Clara Poarch Haigler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Myron C. Smith, daughters; Janice Bowman, Sheila Church, brothers; Clyde “Buck”, Rufus, John, Frank and Kenneth Haigler, sisters; Ruby Pearson, Mabel Potts, and Fay Tousley and a great grandson; Seth Smith. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on January 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
