Alene C Pennell

Mrs. Pennell was born in Caldwell County to the late Bertha Cannon Paysour and step-father Frank Paysour. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William P. Pennell and step-brother, Burl Paysour.

She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of North Catawba Baptist Church. She loved visiting with her friends, enjoyed reading her bible, going out to eat and spending time with her family. She loved to take trips to the mountains to see the deer and just loved to ride anywhere.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronnie Pennell and wife Gail of Lenoir, and Ricky Pennell and wife Pam of Hudson; several nieces, nephews and cousins, who were caring, faithful and supportive to Mrs. Pennell.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at North Catawba Baptist Church with Reverend John Barnhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorials be made to North Catawba Baptist Church, 1596 N. Catawba Church Ave. Lenoir, NC 28645.
