Ruby was born on a small farm near Braham, Minnesota. She attended a one room school for eight years, graduating from Braham High School in 1938. She attended Minneapolis Vocational School before seeking employment as a seamstress at Munsingwear where she made uniforms during WWII.
She married Marvin H. Johnson in 1943. She was a full-time homemaker while raising her four children. Later, she worked as a personal caregiver and volunteered through hospice and her church.
She used her seamstress skills until she was 96. Her life-long desire was to honor her Lord and Savior. In her quiet, humble way, Ruby touched many people.
Ruby has been treasured by her children and their spouses and families; Cheryl and Paul Bengtson, Barbara and Howard Anderson, Stan and Linda Johnson and Greg and Laurie Johnson, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Marvin, her parents and 5 siblings.
