Patricia “Pat” Catron, 82, of Spring Valley, passed away November 17th of Dementia.
Pat was born November 8, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the middle child to M.E and Margret Moses. She had 2 brothers, William, who predeceased her, and Donald who resides in Nevada.
During High School her family moved to Independence, Kansas.There Pat met Henry “Lou” Catron, her husband of 54 years.
Lou’s career in the Navy took them many places, including Rota, Spain. After settling in San Diego, Pat became very involved in many causes. She was active in Chapel on Ream Field where she taught Sunday school. Pat spearheaded the Navy Relief Program and was involved in Southwest Little League, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, Navy Wives and Imperial Beach Jaycee’s. In 1963, Pat was awarded “Service Wife of the year”.
Pat worked for H&R Block for 25 years. After retiring, Pat and Lou traveled the United States every year, eventually visiting 49 States.
Lou predeceased Pat in 2004. She is survived by her 3 children, Larry (Shelly), Candie Thomas and Lyssa Jordan (Brett). She had 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Pat will be interred with her husband Lou, at Fort Rosecrans at a later date.
She will be missed by many.
