Orval C. Butcher

December 1, 1917 to Oct. 5, 2010

Dr. Orval Butcher passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in San Diego Hospice, at the age of 92 years. He came to Lemon Grove in 1953 and founded Skyline Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1954 where he served as pastor for 27 years.

He is survived by his three children, Alden Butcher, Connie Fish and Sharon Westfall, their spouses, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

His service will be at Skyline Church in Rancho San Diego on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor the memory of Pastor Butcher and continue his passion for supporting missions and missionaries are requested to make donations to: Orval Butcher Ministries, P.O.
