Joan Marie Kish, of Bonita, CA, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2014. She was 81 years of age, and was born on September 10, 1932 in South Bend, IN. She moved to San Diego in 1969. She worked 12 years for Teledyne-Ryan, before starting her own business providing care for the elderly in 1981. This became not only her income, but her passion. She loved her patients and continued in this business until 1998.
Joan lived life to the fullest, despite many health conditions and physical challenges. She chose to enjoy life to the fullest degree, not allowing her health to slow her down. She loved life. One of her greatest joys was making others smile and helping those in need. She also loved children and fostered many of them. This love for children caused her to have an orphanage built in the Philippines. She had many close friends throughout the years, who will miss her smiling face and unique personality. She attended Hilltop Tabernacle of Chula Vista, CA. All who knew her there loved her, and will miss her deeply. They were like family to her, and she was like family to many of them.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Kish; and father, Frank Kish; and her only brother, John Kish.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5-7pm at Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary, 7387 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. Her homegoing service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 7pm at Hilltop Tabernacle, 346 L Street, Chula Vista, CA 91911.

I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me
the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord,
the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day --
and not only to me,
but also to all
who have longed
for his appearing.
II Timothy 4:7~8
