   What a great couple they made and family they had together. I remember when Gerry was thinking about getting out of the service after ten years.   I told him at the time it was too many years to throw away and not know what was available when he was out in the real world work force.  I had tried it I told him and it did not work out for me and especially since I had a family already.   In any event I learn a week later he had re-enlisted and after that Gerry had much more confidence and rose in rank through his efforts to Chief Master I was very proud of him.  His time was short and of course he went to early.

Remember "Yesterday When I Was Young"  by Roy Clark

I Remember Jerry When we worked at Sheppard AFB, Tx as Bouncer to keep the young from getting too drunk and get back home safe after a night out, both the men and the woman airman of the time.  I was his best man at his wedding down in Pasadena, Tx and listen to the song he picked for his wedding,  Yesterday When I Was Young by Roy Clark, I always wondered if he was related to Roy Clark.  Just before his finding his sweetheart he was contemplated getting out of the Air Force.  He asked me my Advice and I told him at that time, he invested so much time in the Air Force it would be a shame to give it up, he was a Staff Sgt and still young I told him I would stick with it for the next 10 years and he would retire at least as a Senior Master at the time.  He proved me Wrong and made Chief.  Always proud that I had a little to do with his future sucess in life.  His family I lost touch with but will always be happy to know they were all happy and prosperous and hopefully still all safe and healthy. You do not know me but I worked for Jerry at Sheppard AFB in 1977-78.  I lived with him for a while when I was going through difficult times.  He was always a great friend that could always be counted on.  I am saddened that he has passed
and you have my deepest sympathy. I have had my own battle with cancer and know how hard it is for all.  God bless you and may Jerry rest in peace

Jerry Clark was a good friend and I'll miss him.  May he rest in peace.  God's blessings to his wife Pam and children Christie and Robert.  No words can really ease your pain, but rest assured that Chief Jerry Clark was a very respected man who had a positive influence on many-many people, and maybe that will be some solace during this difficult grieving process.

Pam, Clark family and friends you have my deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I am very Honored to have met Jerry and proud to call him a friend.

 Cindy and I are extremely sorry for your lost. Jerry was a good friend and a Chief's chief. He took care of his troops and mentored many to what they became in the U.S. Air Force. His guidance and attention to detail was instrumental in many careers that spanned many years of faithful service. You can be proud of the man he was and be sure that he will be sorely missed. He had faith and is no longer suffering from the cancer. He now walks the streets of gold with God. Rest In Peace Chief !

Jerry is in God's presence now.  He ran the race and won a crown and now he joins the unending song.  We'll be seeing you Jerry!

Chief Master Sergeant Clark was a tremendous Senior NCO and leader. I enjoyed working with him during our tour together at the "Fighting 52d" Medical Group, Bitburg-Spangdahlem AB, Germany. We also had a great number of laughs together! He was an incredibly insightful person, with the absolute ability to "tell it like it is." He was also a great friend, and helped to keep me in touch with CMSgt Don Miller, a mutual friend of Chief Clark's and mine, whom we lost a couple of years ago. Chief Jerry Clark was the real McCoy, a true Air Force original, and I will miss him. Please accept the condolences of the entire Cumberland family. Pam, Christie, and Robert:

Laura and I are so sorry for your loss.  As I look back at my Air Force career, what I learned from Jerry remained at the core of it throughout.  He was a terrific teacher, mentor, and friend.  Jerry understood what was important and he was a terrific communicator.

Laura and I look back fondly at our couple of failed attempts at camping back in Utah.  You guys had the 5th wheel and Laura and I (plus our boys and probably our dog) had a small rental camper from MWR.  We were totally lost and out of our element...but we had a great time nonetheless.

Our prayers go out to your entire family.

 I am so sorry for your loss.  Jerry was someone who was so very special to so many in his military family.  He mentored so many of us to achieve greater things than we could have ever accomplished on our own. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss!  During our time together at Eglin AFB Chief Clark helped me establish the foundation that has allowed me to build a successful military Career.  He will be missed but his teachings live on in me and others.

We started off as, Friends and from there became, more of a Family. Those special memories of our times together will always bring smiles to our faces.
