Fred is survived by his spouse, Mary Skimel; sister Christine Swanson, daughters, Sue (Charles) Yerkes and Jennifer (Mark) Klonowski; 2 grandchildren, Julie (Shane) Widick and Addison Klonowski; 2 great grandchildren, Owen and Alexis Widick.

Fred was a lithographer by trade, growing up in Chicago, Illinois. He was active in his church in Woodridge, Illinois including the Men’s Club. This is where he became very active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an avid golfer, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He spent his early day’s drag racing with his love for fast cars. His favorite was his baby blue GTO “the goat”. He later loved watching his great grandson race and his granddaughter play golf. He later moved from the Chicago region and settled in Florida. No, more snow shoveling for this Lugan!

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 1st. 2019 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres Florida 33971. For information, 239-369-2181.
