Lynn Edward Martin

Services celebrating the life of Lynn Edward Martin, 85, of Leesville will be held in the chapel at Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville on Sunday, January 12, 2014; at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Wayne Shepherd will be officiating. Honoring Mr. Martin as pallbearers will be his nephews and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Romeo Club. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville.

Mr. Martin was born July 23, 1928 in Leesville, LA to Joseph and Annie Martin and passed from this life on January 9, 2014.

Mr. Martin a lifelong resident of Leesville/Vernon Parish. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Leesville. He worked for many years at the Leesville Daily Leader and retired from the VPSB.

Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his son: Michael Lynn Martin and his parents: Joseph and Annie Martin.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Imogene Martin of Leesville, Louisiana; brother: George Martin of Little Rock, Arkansas; sister: Annie Rose Getti of Houston, Texas.
